Current Research Directions
The scientific interest of our group lies at the interface of supramolecular chemistry, polymer chemistry, and materials science. Particularly, we will devote to the design and synthesis of novel well-defined molecular nanotubes which possess intriguing molecular recognition ability, self-assembly behavior and chiroptical property, and further explore their potentials in mass-transport related applications. Also, we are interested in the development of new mechanically-interlocked polymers (MIPs) related functional materials, including the precise synthesis of MIMs with defined molecular weight, topology and sequence, and the fabrication of new smart topological crosslinked polymer materials.
